May Market Update: Real Estate In Breckenridge Colorado

In some ways this month’s market update is similar to the state of Summit County’s real estate a year ago. The number of properties that have been sold so far this year is identical to this time last year. Quite simply, it’s flat.

However, although the sales are the same, I have some good news about the selling prices. Throughout the county, the average price of sold residential properties is up by 5.9 percent.

In fact, Breckenridge tops the list of Summit County towns when it comes to the amount of properties that have sold and the respective prices. At this time, the number of sold properties has risen to 10.6 percent and the sold amount is up at 5.8 percent. It’s great to see, especially if you are looking to enter the Breckenridge Colorado real estate market as a seller this year.

By looking at the county overall, a different picture emerges. The north side is experiencing a downturn in sales by 8 percent with prices flat or up only by just .5 percent. It’s a very different real estate landscape on the south side however. Sales are up 11 percent with a price growth at nearly 6 percent.
