November Events in Summit County
The month of November is busy in Summit County! We have ski mountains opening, the ramp up of our winter season, and the Thanksgiving holiday. The following lists give a summary of happenings in each area of Summit County.
Frisco:
The annual Nordic Center Ski Sale & Swap happens Friday, November 16th- Sunday, November 18th. This is a great chance to get gear for the upcoming ski season… the event includes new and used ski, snowshoe, telemark, and backcountry gear! The event is held at the Frisco Nordic Center and proceeds benefit the Summit Nordic Team.
The Frisco Adventure Park is scheduled for is season opener celebration on November 22nd. The main attractions for the winter season are the tubing hill and the beginner ski & ride hill, as well as lessons at the ski & ride hill. The Frisco Adventure Park also includes the Frisco Nordic Center which offers over 45km of Nordic and snowshoe trails, and dinner sleigh rides offered by Two Below Zero Sleigh Rides.
Breckenridge:
Breckenridge Ski Resort is officially slated for Opening Day on November 9th at 8:30am. This is Breckenridge’s 51st season, offering skiers and snowboarders a variety of terrain and riding conditions. Opening Day is sure to be a celebration- be one of the first on the lifts this season, enjoy good food and music, and be part of the yearly early season tradition!
In the town of Breckenridge, there are always a variety of food and drink specials to benefit from, as well as small group events, tastings, or presentations offered by local businesses. Check out the complete calendar of events offered.
Keystone:
Keystone Mountain is scheduled for Opening Day on November 2nd. Keystone offers 3,148 skiable acres, 20 lifts, 2 gondolas, and the A51 terrain park. This is sure to be another great season at Keystone!
Dillon:
The Town of Dillon is hosting the first annual Hibernation Hoedown on Wednesday, November 7th from 10am-5pm. See the Capitol Christmas tree start its journey to Washington, D.C. This free family event offers hayrides, hot apple cider, and free music throughout the day.
In the month of November, most Summit County ski resorts will open and the Frisco Adventure Park officially opens, offering fun in the early season snow.
